Work: iSnuggle App

This is exciting – the first iphone/ipad app I’ve been involved with, iSnuggle, is now available in the iTunes store! I was invited to be one of the contributing artists for iSnuggle, and had fun creating some cute animals and backgrounds for the app, such as the chick in Tokyo above. ^_^
Here’s some more info…

iSnuggle lets you create and send super snuggly cute picture and text messages via email, MMS, Facebook or Twitter. iSnuggle comes with 32 lovable, huggable, original characters and a plethora of unique pre-set “snuggly messages” to share with your friends and loved ones. We will be rolling out additional features and characters in the coming months. The images and sound design in iSnuggle have been sourced and curated from a superb group of international artists. We would love for you to download it or forward this email to teens, tweens, and all lovers of the iPhone/iPod/iPad.

Pattern of the Week: Traditional Kokeshi

This week’s pattern is inspired by old-fashioned kokeshi dolls. I like kokeshi dolls, especially the ‘creative’ ones like those by Izumi Oki. I’ve been tempted to start a collection but haven’t yet!

Tutorial: How to make a dress-shirt envelope/giftbag

With Father’s Day this weekend I figured this was a perfect tutorial to post – cute little envelopes/baggies that are folded to look like dress shirts! The envelopes are sealed by folding down the collars and securing them with a tie or bowtie shape cut from paper or sticker paper.

To make things all the easier I’ve created a pdf file with a templates that you can quickly cut out and fold together. Grab it at the bottom of the post!
